This year I completed the Live Below the Line challenge between September 22 - 27th raising NZ$705 for my chosen charity: Oxfam.
While it was definitely a massive challenge eating off of $2.25 a day for five days, I'm glad I managed to get through it without complaining of hunger too often.
I believe strongly in the cause and I hope I've been able to raise some awareness around the global poverty issue if only just within my family and close circle of friends. It is a known fact that we produce more than enough food to feed everyone in the world yet so much of this is wasted through inefficient production processes or, simply, we bought more food than we needed and had to throw it out.
